Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellowship in the statistical genomics of breast cancer. The candidate will work under the mentorship of Dr. Richard Simon on developing and applying statistical methodology for the analysis of genomic and gene expression data on human breast cancers and experimental models of breast cancer.
The Biometric Research Branch of the National Cancer Institute consists of biostatisticians, computer scientists, biomathematicians, computational biologists and biophysicists conducting research on the molecular basis of cancer, therapeutics discovery and development, development of molecular diagnostics and imaging technology. The candidate will collaborate with outstanding NIH molecular biologists and physicians and have access to abundant computational facilities.
Candidates should be highly motivated for training in statistical genomics with a strong statistical or mathematical background and strong programming skills. Salaries will be on the NIH scale commensurate with experience and area of expertise. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
