A recent manuscript by a modeling team from Imperial College, led by Neil Ferguson, on control of the spread of COVID-19 has received much attention. The Bulletin of Mathematical Biology has just published an open-access commentary on this manuscript (https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11538-020-00726-x). Prepared by a modeling team from the University of Virginia, led by Stephen Eubank, the article places the Imperial College work into its mathematical, research, and social context.
