    The Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics at the University of the Sciences (USciences) invites applications for a full-time 10-month tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics starting August 15, 2021.

    A Ph.D. in applied mathematics or related area is required by the starting date. Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching, research and mentoring students. The ideal candidate is an effective educator with commitment to involve students in research projects, contribute to the enhancement of the instructional programs, and establish and maintain a competitive and successful research program. The finalist will be required to successfully pass a background check.

    The Department of Mathematics, Physics and Statistics currently has 15 full time faculty with diverse research interests in all three Department disciplines. The Department has a good track record of excellence in teaching and research and will provide a friendly and supportive environment to the new faculty. Besides working with mathematics, physics and statistics colleagues, the new faculty will have an opportunity to collaborate with other USciences faculty with diverse expertise and interests including data science, biology, bioinformatics, chemistry, pharmaceutical and health sciences.
