It is our honour to announce the second edition of our hot-topic workshop series ‘Perturbations in Epilepsy’ will be held on June 26-27, 2023, at the University of Birmingham, UK.

The theme of this year’s event is Quantifying the impact of seizure triggers. We are bringing together key stakeholders including patients with lived experience, clinicians and academics working at the forefront of epilepsy research, and partners from the wearables and neurotechnology industries to enable knowledge exchange and facilitate new collaborations on community-based epilepsy management.

The workshop is a two-day event, with three thematic sessions providing perspectives from Clinical, Industry and Mathematical Modelling. At the end of Day 1, there will be a poster session for all attendees to showcase their research. Day 2 will conclude with an ECR Symposium to discuss best practices and future requirements to support early career researchers to thrive in the epilepsy research community.

For further details including the programme and how to register and submit an abstract, please visit the event website at http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/PerturbationsInEpilepsy.
We are offering a reduced rate for student registration to encourage their participation.

For queries, please contact the organisers at smqb@contacts.bham.ac.uk.

We look forward to hosting you in Birmingham!

    Sincerely,
    The SMQB Organising Committee
